I’m a postdoctoral fellow at  the University of British Columbia’s Beaty Biodiversity Research Centre working in the laboratory of Loren Rieseberg.  I am studying heterosis or hybrid vigor.

My Ph.D. thesis research focused on cuticular lipid trafficking in Arabidopsis thaliana.  I studied the involvement of lipid transfer proteins in cuticular wax export to the plant surface.  I discovered a lipid transfer protein, with a lipidic post-translational modification, is involved in wax export.
